Visitor visas, minus the confusion

Three options, one quick comparison — know exactly which one is yours.

Everyone except Australian and New Zealand citizens needs a visa or travel authority before boarding. For tourism, the right option depends almost entirely on your passport:

How to apply (subclass 600 example)

  1. Create a free ImmiAccount.
  2. Complete the online form: passport details, travel plans, funds, employment/ties to home.
  3. Upload documents — passport bio page, bank statements, itinerary; some applicants add invitation letters or evidence of ties.
  4. Pay the charge and submit. Biometrics may be requested depending on nationality.
  5. Track the outcome in ImmiAccount; visas are electronic (no passport label).
